PERFETTO ENSEMBLE

The Perfetto String Ensemble was founded in late 2018 on the initiative of violinist Vesna Jansens. Its aim is to perform works by Serbian and international composers in a variety of genres, written for string ensembles ranging from duos to small chamber orchestras.

Perfetto gave its first performances at Novi Sad City Hall, presenting works for violin and cello. These were followed by concerts at Matica Srpska in Novi Sad and the National Museum in Belgrade, featuring compositions for violin and viola.

Promoting works by Serbian composers for violin and cello, the duo performed more than 12 concerts in Serbia’s major cities with the support of SOKOJ, the Serbian Music Authors’ Organisation. It also made an archival recording for Radio Belgrade. Recordings of its performances can be seen and heard on YouTube.

In addition to classical music, the Perfetto Ensemble String Quartet performs evergreen, jazz and ethno compositions by internationally renowned composers. Alongside its concert appearances, the quartet frequently takes part in a wide range of cultural and public events, including a medical symposium in Belgrade, the Surčin Wine Festival and the Pumpkin Festival in Kikinda.

Among its many classical music performances, particular highlights include the Spring Concert and the Songs and Dances concert at the National Museum in Belgrade.

This concert features works by composers inspired by traditional folk melodies, juxtaposing Baroque and Romantic forms of musical expression. It is intended for music lovers of all ages and tastes.
