Chameleon String Quartet

The Chameleon String Quartet was founded in 2001. It has performed at numerous festivals and cultural events, including Nušićijada in Ivanjica, Nušić Days in Smederevo, Days of Danilo Lazović in Priboj, Music Summer in Aleksinac and Marble and Sounds in Aranđelovac.

The quartet frequently performs in cities throughout Serbia, enriching their cultural programmes with classical works, popular evergreens, rock music and film themes.

Its notable Belgrade appearances include concerts at the Kolarac Endowment, Madlenianum, the RTS Gallery and the Atrium of the National Museum. In Novi Sad, the quartet has performed at Matica Srpska.

In late August 2024, the quartet appeared at the Malta International Piano Festival, where it performed works by Serbian composers. Its concert programme also includes performances of music by Serbian composers in Belgrade, Zrenjanin and Kragujevac, supported by SOKOJ, the Serbian Music Authors’ Organisation.

The quartet is dedicated to preserving and promoting Serbia’s cultural heritage, and its repertoire therefore usually includes at least one work by a Serbian composer.
